Our client hadn’t had an all staff since pre-Covid and much had changed. The leadership team settled on their go-to town hall but were less than enthusiastic about the usual presentations and slide deck. We immediately challenged the team to view the meeting as an opportunity to move the dial on performance; to set expectations and challenge teams across the organization to start demonstrating the behaviours needed to drive performance and accountability.
Bringing together both new faces and a core team that hadn't seen each other since the lock-downs, we knew that this inaugural event was an opportunity to energize staff and begin to form a culture of trust; to align and energize staff to take part in ongoing change; to set new standards for working across siloes; and to build trust and cohesion. We proposed an entirely different event.
Our event strategy began with defining outcomes the leadership team wanted: an event that was fun and generated curiosity, inclusion and engagement, and gathered intelligence on current state morale and engagement. The event format we facilitated was a World Café to enable randomized groups to have dialogue with each of the leadership team members on predefined topics to both inform and gain in-the-moment feedback. We also developed a pulse survey post the event – a benchmark and part of a broader survey strategy to allow for employment branding opportunities.
"Lenka and Michelle – a fabulous meeting, amazing feedback BTW so thank you so much for the thoughtful preparation and the awesome meeting!!!!! Everyone was super happy with it and the outcome."
