Our client, a leading not-for-profit tourism and learning destination relies on its employees to make visitor experiences memorable. Like at many cultural and tourism attractions closed during Covid, staff rallied behind the organization’s purpose but struggled as they developed new routines and ways of engaging with their colleagues and the public.
The leadership team recognized that staying connected to employees and supporting their wellbeing would be paramount to navigating this challenging time and being able to hit the ground running when normal operations resumed. Together, we co-created a wellness platform to better equip employees with strategies to maintain equilibrium in the #thirdworkplace.
In building any platform it is important to understand the organization’s unique needs and create appropriate programs and initiatives. In consideration of the organization’s limited resources, it was also important to keep efficacy and value front of mind. To address both, we developed metrics and a dashboard (which we have since honed as a stand-alone offering) to provide the leadership team with a baseline report and means to measure the efficacy of these initiatives. We also partnered with Human Resources and facilitated workshops to equip them with these new tools and enable them to run the programs themselves. Finally, we developed a modular wellness strategy, so that should they need or want to expand their programming, they would have roadmap for roll-out.
